Members address pensions at town hall meeting in Lexington

On Thursday, September 21, Democratic legislators attended a town hall meeting to address the pension system and upcoming special session. Representatives George Brown, Susan Westrom, Kelly Flood, and Ruth Ann Palumbo joined teachers, first responders, and members of state and county governments to hear concerns on proposed changes to the pension plans. The community members and government employees in attendance voiced comments, questions, and concerns regarding the pensions, with Representatives speaking to the issues and answering questions in the open forum. The event was hosted by the Fayette County Education Association and the Kentucky Public Pension Coalition, which took place at Frederick Douglas High School in Lexington, KY.
